Minecraft mods and plugins
Use the CurseForge or Modrinth plugin to find compatible extensions for an existing Minecraft Java server. Both work through AI chat and have no separate tab.
Choose a platform
| Plugin | Installation skill | File-resolution skill |
|---|---|---|
| CurseForge | install-curseforge-content | resolve-curseforge-files |
| Modrinth | install-modrinth-content | resolve-modrinth-files |
CurseForge
Official queries and downloads, including fallback, require a key in the dedicated CurseForge API Key secret field. MCIM-only use needs no key. Keep the key out of chat.
Official files are downloaded and verified on Panel, then transferred to the workspace. Panel-to-workspace file transfer must be available.
Modrinth
No API key is needed. Only publicly released projects are queried; private and draft content are unsupported. Queries run on Panel and files download in the workspace, so both need access to the selected sources.
Client-only and singleplayer-only content is excluded from dedicated servers; requirements for players to install matching client mods appear in the plan.
Install extensions
Install and enable the selected plugin for your account and workspace. The Panel host needs Linux amd64/arm64, Node.js 22.13.0+, and access to the selected sources.
Prepare a compatible server and online node, with file, download, and service control permissions in the conversation. Back up worlds and configuration.
Choose 下载源 (download source) and 版本范围 (release range) in plugin settings. Configure the required credentials above.
Type
@in the target workspace conversation, select the platform's installation skill, and provide a project link or name. For example:Install this mod for the current server. Check the game version, loader, required dependencies, and downtime first, then show the plan.
Review the plan and complete required approvals. Check startup logs and loaded content afterward; players may also need matching client mods.
Choose sources and versions
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Download source | Prefer MCIM (default), MCIM only, official |
| Release range | Stable only, include beta (default), include alpha |
MCIM is a download mirror and may lag behind. Mirror-only mode pauses when content is missing; mirror-first mode attempts official fallback where permitted. Verification failures, distribution restrictions, or incompatibility stop installation.
The default includes stable and beta releases. Choose 仅正式版 (stable only) for a more conservative selection. Required dependencies follow the same range; optional dependencies are not installed automatically. Existing tasks retain their selected sources and versions; changed settings mainly affect new tasks.
What it supports
Mods go into mods/; Bukkit-family plugins go into plugins/. Neither plugin automatically replaces the server loader to fit a mod. Sponge, Folia, and hybrid servers need separate compatibility checks.
The file-resolution skills query exact projects, versions, and modpack files for server pack creation. These plugins do not themselves convert modpacks into servers.
Common problems
- No compatible version: check the exact game version, loader, and release range; do not assume the project's latest release fits.
- No download URL: the author may restrict distribution. Obtain the exact file from an authorized source as instructed.
- Interrupted installation: continue the original task and inspect completed actions. Some files may already have changed and the server may remain stopped; do not assume a complete automatic rollback.
