Minecraft server packs
Convert a complete client directory or ZIP, CurseForge export ZIP, or Modrinth .mrpack into a separate Minecraft Java server pack. Use chat; there is no separate plugin tab.
Before you start
- Install and enable the plugin, with an online Linux amd64/arm64 workspace and file, download, and terminal permissions.
- Provide Python 3.11+ in the workspace. Building also requires Java 21. The plugin does not install these runtimes automatically.
- CurseForge and Modrinth inputs need the corresponding CurseForge or Modrinth plugin and file-resolution skill. Complete client packs need neither.
- Leave disk space for the original, extracted files, temporary build, and output. Conversion uses workspace CPU and memory; use a separate workspace when needed.
Create the pack
Upload the modpack through workspace File management, or choose Upload files in the conversation and ask the assistant to import it from your asset library with approval. Conversion requires the file to be in the Workspace.
Type
@in that workspace conversation and selectconvert-minecraft-serverpack. For example:Create a server pack from this modpack in the workspace. Let me confirm the input first, then show the versions and which mods to retain or disable.
Check the input. CurseForge and Modrinth packs download and verify files to restore the complete client pack before analysis. Existing complete client packs can be analyzed directly.
Review game and loader versions and which mods to retain or disable, then build. The assistant uses a verified ServerPackCreator 9.3.1. Query progress, cancel, or continue the original task in the same conversation.
After success, download the reported server ZIP through File management or use the reported server directory.
Results and limits
The original is unchanged; output goes into a separate task directory. CurseForge restores every manifest file, including optional files, resource packs, and shader packs. Modrinth applies separate client and server overrides. Unknown mods may be retained, so check the report.
Restoration covers modpack contents; it does not install Minecraft itself, game assets, libraries, or a loader.
Local ZIPs and expanded contents each have an 8 GiB limit. Uploads use the system file upload limit. Configure mirrors, credentials, and sources in the corresponding platform plugin. Restricted downloads are not bypassed.
A successful build does not prove the server will start. Conversion does not install or start the server or accept the Minecraft EULA. Before using the output, prepare Java suitable for the game, complete installation and EULA acceptance, and test startup and player connections.
Common problems
- Python or Java missing: prepare the runtime first. Java 21 is required by the converter, not necessarily the final game server.
- Waiting for files: obtain the exact listed files from authorized sources and continue the same task. Verified files are reused.
- No result after closing the page: return to the conversation and query the task. Stopping the container, node failures, or timeouts may interrupt builds.
